The Coastal Cyber Center at the College of Coastal Georgia raises awareness for cybersecurity issues and supports the development of the cyber defense degree. Its mission is to offer support to local businesses, governmental units, and interested parties by collaboration with the School of Business and Public Management.
Both the College and the Center are dedicated to creating experts of all Coastal Georgia students, faculty, and staff as appropriate, to their chosen academic discipline or vocation.
The Center’s purpose is to strengthen the cybersecurity knowledge base of the Coastal Georgia community, and to equip them to deal with different types of cyber-attacks.
The Cyber Defense Advisory Board (CDAB) consists of professionals in the Cyber Security and Information Technology field from various companies. The Advisory Board meets twice a year to discuss the needs of the Cyber Defense community in our region, ways to strength the Cyber Defense program and to review the current course content. The board provides insight on current trends and reviews the curriculum for strengths and weaknesses. The board members are given updates on recent graduates and their current employment status.
If you would like to know who the current members are, please email us at cyber@ccga.edu.
