Mark your Calendar for Rehearsal

Please mark your calendar for rehearsal on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2024, at 5 p.m., at the Southeast Georgia Conference Center on campus. Please note that attending practice is required. You do not need to wear your regalia to practice.

You will receive 8 wristbands for your guests. These will be given to you at rehearsal.

The graduation application is located in the myccga portal in the student forms tab in the registrar form.
    Regalia:

Caps and gowns are ordered online here. You must have a graduation application on file in the Registrar’s Office before you can place an order. Students without appropriate caps and gowns will not be allowed to participate.

Honor cords may be picked up from the Registrar’s Office or at the venue. Honors designation for the ceremony is usually determined by preceding term overall cumulative grade point average, unless the degree has already been awarded. Students in honor organizations will need to speak with respective organizational advisors regarding any other type of cords or stoles.

Veteran Stoles may be picked up in the Registrar’s Office or at the venue.

    Order Regalia here

    Attire:

This is a formal event, so professional attire is required of all students participating in the ceremony. Dark, solid colors are recommended for garments extending beyond the gown. You will be standing for an extended time, so comfortable shoes are strongly encouraged. Please, no flip flops or other loose-fitting shoes so that you may safely mount and exit the stage.

Cap decorations are allowed, but they need to be flat to the surface and confined to the top of the cap. 3D adornments (floral arrangements, Mickey Mouse ears, Eiffel tower, etc.) will need to be removed prior to the ceremony.

    Lineup:

All graduates need to check in at the venue, where they will receive their lineup number and name card.

    Physical Assistance:

The venue is wheelchair-friendly. Guests should not face accessibility issues.

Graduates that have physical or other needs (i.e. quiet place to breast feed), please notify the Registrar’s Office so that arrangements can be made prior to the ceremony.

    Commencement Program:

If you submitted your graduation application prior to the application due date, then your name will be included in the graduation program. If you submit your application after the application due date, then your name will not appear in the program.

    Photographs:

Professional photos will be taken by Grad Images at the ceremony. You will receive order information from the vendor prior to the ceremony on how to set up your account and view proofs.

    Diplomas:

Participating in the ceremony does not guarantee that all degree requirements have been satisfied. Students will receive a diploma cover at commencement. Once the Office of the Registrar has verified that all degree requirements are satisfied, diplomas can be picked up or mailed by special request. This process takes about three weeks following commencement, and students will receive an email when they are available.
