The College of Coastal Georgia is proud to announce that the graduation ceremonies for the spring Class of 2025 will take place on Friday, May 9, at the Jekyll Island Convention Center. This momentous occasion will honor the achievements of graduating students who have demonstrated dedication and perseverance throughout their academic journey.
School of Nursing and Health Science students will graduate at 9:30 a.m., and students from the School of Arts and Sciences and the School of Business and Public Management will graduate at 1:00 p.m.
Amongst the nearly 300 graduates will be the first graduating cohort of the Paraprofessional to Certified Teacher Pathway program from the College’s Department of Education and Teacher Preparation. Twenty-one graduates of the pathway program will earn a Bachelor of Science in Education with dual majors and certifications in elementary and special education. The spring Class of 2025 also represents 14 states, eight countries, at least 66 first generation students, 103 non-traditional students, and 21 military-affiliated graduates.
The ceremonies will feature remarks from College of Coastal Georgia President Dr. Johnny L. Evans Jr., College of Coastal Georgia Foundation Chair Hillary Stringfellow, Student Government Association President Bethany Watters, the invocation by Riley Elkins, and Hailey Dixon, of Jesup, Georgia, will give the charge to the graduating class.
Spring Commencement will be livestreamed on the College of Coastal Georgia YouTube channel and shared on the College’s Facebook page.
