School of Business and Public Affairs to Offer Third Lecture in Economic Series

Brunswick, GA – John W. Eichinger, Program Director for Radiologic Sciences at the College of Coastal Georgia, is currently serving as President-Elect for the Association of Educators in Imaging and Radiologic Sciences (AEIRS). He will assume the presidency of the international association in July 2015 at the annual AEIRS conference in San Antonio, Texas.

AIERS is one of the largest professional associations in the world for imaging and radiologic science educators, according to their website. The organization sponsors regional faculty excellence seminars, publications, grant programs, research awards, and international networking. Eichinger has served on the association’s board for five years.

Prior to joining the College in September 2014, Eichinger was the founding program director for radiologic technology at Technical College of The Lowcountry in Beaufort, South Carolina for eleven years. In addition to his experience in diagnostic radiology, he has served as clinical faculty at Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, Florida, and as program director in Lancaster, Ohio.

He received his B.S. from Salem College in West Virginia and his M.S.R.S. from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. He is certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in both radiography and computed tomography. In addition to AEIRS, he is a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists and has served as an accreditation site visitor for the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology.
