President Michelle Johnston has confirmed a two-week suspension of classes at the College of Coastal Georgia.
Earlier today, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp announced that state agencies, school systems, and local communities have been given the flexibility to implement closures. As a result, the University System of Georgia (USG) announced that, effective Monday, March 16, 2020, all USG institutions will temporarily suspend instruction for two weeks to allow time for each USG institution to finalize its continuity of instruction plans and test online instruction modules. State officials will also continue to assess the situation regarding coronavirus (COVID-19) in Georgia.
Students who are currently away for spring break are strongly encouraged not to return to campus. Students who are on campus at this time are asked to depart by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13, and to remain away from campus at least until March 29. At this time, students are not being asked to move out of the residence halls for the remainder of the semester.
