College of Coastal Georgia women’s golf added much needed depth to its roster by officially signing three players to join the Mariners’ squad this upcoming season.

Kylee Wheeler, Megan Collins and Megan Ramer will begin their freshman seasons at CCGA this fall.

“We’re looking forward to the upcoming year,” said head coach Nicole Johns. “We will have a lot of new talent with the new upcoming freshman class. Each one of the girls has been successful in their careers so far.”

Wheeler hails from Ware County. As a senior, she tied for first in the 2017 GHSA individual state championship by recording 76-79, three strokes ahead of the rest of the field. The three-time all-region selection was a member of Ware County’s 2015 state championship team.

Collins is a graduate of Franklin County High School in East Point, Fla. She was a three-time member of the Tallahassee Democrat All-Big Bend team, in addition to being recognized as a second-teamer following her freshman season.

Ramer comes to Brunswick from midwestern Terre Haute North Vigo High School in Terre Haute, Ind. She was a four-time all conference selection, first team all-state selection and a two-time low-medalist at sectionals. Ramer also racked up accolades on the Indiana Golf Association Tour and Pepsi Tour, on which she was the overall points champion.
