English Honor Society Welcomes 2023 Inductees

Congratulations to the new student inductees of Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society for 2023. 

Sigma Tau Delta is the most recognized English honor society in the United States. Created in 1924, the organization recognizes high achievement in English language, literature and writing. To be eligible for membership, students must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average and are within the top 30 percent of their class. Sigma Tau Delta has over 800 different chapters in the United States. Inducted students have the opportunity to apply for Sigma Tau Delta scholarships, an internship stipend, and leadership positions.

The students were recognized in a special ceremony with remarks by Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Johnny Evans and chapter co-advisors Associate Professor of English Dr. Mary McGinnis and Professor of English Dr. Jennifer Gray.
