The College of Coastal Georgia will celebrate the completion of the expansion of Miriam and Hugh Nunnally Hall with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, Sept. 11, at 3 p.m.

Community partners, supporters, faculty, staff, and students are invited to attend the event, which marks a significant milestone in the institution’s history and its commitment to academic excellence and student success.

The College broke ground on the expansion in June 2025. The state-of-the-art facility represents a giant leap forward in how the institution prepares the next generation of healthcare professionals. The new space features cutting-edge learning spaces, including an intensive care unit simulation area, a realistic nursing station, four large lab areas, a labor and delivery room with a dedicated infant care area, a medical surgical room, and an operating room.

The radiologic science suite was also expanded and outfitted with the latest, industry-leading imaging technology to provide advanced diagnostic training. During the ceremony, this new space for radiologic science education will be dedicated as The Carla and Ron Kalil Radiology Center in honor of the Kalils’ support and generosity to the program.

“This expansion represents a transformative investment in the future of healthcare education and workforce development across the region,” said College President Dr. Johnny L. Evans Jr. “As the demand for skilled healthcare professionals continues to grow, this facility will allow us to educate and prepare more graduates who will go on to serve our communities with compassion, expertise, and excellence.”

The ceremony will feature remarks from College leaders and special guests, followed by an opportunity for attendees to tour the expansion.
