College Presents at USG Board Meeting

The College of Coastal Georgia was recently featured as the Campus Spotlight at the University System of Georgia’s Board of Regents Meeting on May 10.

The College presented on “The Power of Partnership” that focused on the new partnership with the Southeast Georgia Health System to expand the College’s registered nursing program and address hospital staffing shortages. The presentation included a video, remarks from President Michelle R. Johnston, Dean of the School of Nursing and Health Sciences Dr. Lydia Watkins, nursing graduate Joey Lane, alumna and clinical instructor Courtney Dibble, and President and CEO of Southeast Georgia Health System Scott Raynes.

During Lane’s speech, he talked about his journey to finding his passion in nursing and received a standing ovation from regents and college representatives from across the state.
