The College of Coastal Georgia is celebrating a historic start to the fall semester, with first-day numbers showing over 3,700 students enrolled and more than 800 new freshmen. If these figures stay steady, both will set new records for the College. With classrooms, residence halls, and campus life buzzing with activity, this fall marks one of the most successful openings the College has ever experienced.

Residence life is thriving, with all campus housing filled to capacity. The College Foundation’s Coastal Place Apartments are also 100% occupied, and additional student housing has been secured at Country Inn & Suites Hotel and Pointe Grand Apartments to accommodate record growth.

“This is an exciting milestone for the College of Coastal Georgia,” said College of Coastal Georgia President Dr. Johnny L. Evans, Jr. “Breaking enrollment records while filling every residence hall is a strong sign of confidence in the value of a Coastal Georgia education. It reflects the hard work of our faculty, staff, and partners who are committed to creating student success opportunities. The energy on campus this fall is extraordinary.”

The College credits the enrollment surge to strong academic offerings, expanded outreach to new students, and continued growth in regional demand for higher education.
