College of Coastal Georgia to Host Symposium on Coastal Ecology and Management

Brunswick, GA – The College of Coastal Georgia will host a Symposium on Coastal Ecology and Management on Friday, January 29 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Southeast Georgia Conference Center in Brunswick.

Invited speakers from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, The Nature Conservancy, the Georgia Sea Turtle Center, and the University of Georgia Marine Institute on Sapelo Island, along with collaborators from CCGA, will discuss recent advances and outstanding challenges in ecological research and management along the Georgia coast.

Oral presentations will be followed by a poster session showcasing research and service-learning by CCGA students, faculty, and community partners, and a concurrent information fair featuring organizations and opportunities in coastal conservation. The event will be free and open to the public.
