College of Coastal Georgia Announces 2023-2024 Faculty Promotions

The College of Coastal Georgia’s Office of Academic Affairs is pleased to announce the awarding of tenure and/or promotion to 16 faculty members, effective in 2023-24. These faculty members are being recognized for their hard work and commitment to providing Coastal Georgia students with academic instruction and mentoring of the highest quality.

The following faculty members have been tenured and promoted to associate professor:

  • Dr. James Deemy—Assistant Professor to Associate Professor of Environmental Science
  • Dr. Heather Farley—Assistant Professor to Associate Professor of Public Management
  • Dr. Andrea Kwasny—Assistant Professor to Associate Professor of English
  • Dr. Jessica Melilli-Hand—Assistant Professor to Associate Professor of English
  • Dr. Aurora Ramos Nuñez—Assistant Professor to Associate Professor of Psychology
  • Dr. Amy Sneed—Assistant Professor to Associate Professor of Middle Grades and Secondary Education
  • Dr. Nelbert St. Clair—Assistant Professor to Associate Professor of Cyber Defense
  • Dr. Dan Tangpisuthipongsa—Assistant Professor to Associate Professor of Biology

The following faculty members have been promoted to professor:

  • Dr. Carla Bluhm—Associate Professor to Professor of Psychology
  • Tyler Bagwell—Associate Professor to Professor of Communication
  • Dr. Tate Holbrook—Associate Professor to Professor of Biology
  • Dr. Colleen Knight—Associate Professor to Professor of Chemistry
  • Dr. Michael Morris—Associate Professor to Professor of History
  • Dr. Lydia Watkins—Associate Professor to Professor of Nursing
  • Dr. Chris Wilhelm—Associate Professor to Professor of History

The following faculty member has been promoted to senior lecturer:

  • Joshua Clark—Lecturer to Senior Lecturer of Biology
