The following is a message from Dr. Michelle Johnston, President of the College of Coastal Georgia.

“In anticipation of Hurricane Michael and to promote the safety of students, faculty and staff, the College of Coastal Georgia will cancel all classes and suspend non-essential operations on Wed., Oct. 10 and Thurs., Oct. 11. Employees will be notified by their supervisors if they are expected to report to work. Residence halls will remain open and food services and campus police will continue operations. The College will resume a normal schedule on Friday, Oct. 12.

While Coastal Georgia is not in the current path of the storm, I encourage everyone to heed the advice and warnings of local emergency management agencies and make preparations as necessary.

Please be sure to check our website for updates. In case of emergency, please contact Campus Police at (912) 258-3133 or 911.”
