College of Coastal Georgia’s summer introductory chemistry class, which is comprised of a cohort of culinary arts students, will be hosting its fourth annual Cook-Off Contest on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Campus Center.

The event serves as the class’s service-learning project, and each student has been charged with creating a recipe that uses items available at America’s Second Harvest warehouse.

A one dollar donation — which can create four meals — allows attendees to taste the dishes and vote for their favorites.

Additional cash donations and non-perishable canned goods will also be accepted and sent to America’s Second Harvest.
