Brunswick, GA – The College of Coastal Georgia’s Center for Service-Learning will host the third annual symposium on Friday, April 24 which includes presentations in the Stembler Theatre of the Campus Center from 9:30-11 a.m., a poster showcase highlighting service-learning and undergraduate research in the Campus Center lobby from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., and a reception and presentation of the Excellence Awards from 2-2:45 p.m. at the Mariners Galley Patio of the Campus Center. The events are open to the community.
The Excellence Awards recognize students, faculty and community partners for excellence in service-learning during the 2014-2015 academic year.
The poster showcase from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. provides community agency representatives with an opportunity to network with faculty and students involved in service-learning in order to collect ideas for projects and explore opportunities for collaboration. The community will be able to see the impact of a broad spectrum of service-learning and research activities that engage students and faculty in addressing community needs.
