The Marshland Community Federal Credit Union Scholarship Committee recently awarded $1,500 scholarships to three graduating high school students.

Harry Clark, chair of the scholarship committee, presented the Memorial Scholarships to Michaela Peeler, McIntosh County Academy; Chelsea Corson, Brantley County High School and Maggie Tyre, Glynn Academy, during the annual meeting of the Marshland Community Federal Credit Union.

Scholarships were awarded to recipients based on academic achievement, school citizenship and community and school involvement. This year, one of the three scholarships was awarded to a student who plans to attend College of Coastal Georgia in the fall. Graduating seniors from Glynn, McIntosh or Brantley counties with plans to pursue a secondary education and are members of the credit union, or have parents who are members, were eligible to apply for the scholarships.
