Educator Preparation Provider – Performance Data

The Educator Preparation Provider (EPP) at the College of Coastal Georgia is accredited by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC). The College’s EPP was last reviewed by the GaPSC in 2022 and will be reviewed again in 2029. The review in 2022 resulted in all CCGA’s teacher preparation programs meeting ALL GaPSC standards for approval! Beyond that, the programs were cited for two outstanding strengths: 1) effective partnerships with P-12 schools and 2) teacher candidates’ usage of research/evidence to support instructional decisions.

The Department of Education and Teacher Preparation faculty at the College are proud to prepare great teachers for southeastern Georgia and beyond. The College’s EPP consistently earns ratings on the Teacher Preparation Program Effectiveness Measures (PPEM) published annual by the GaPSC that reflect the level of performance necessary for effectively preparing future teachers. The PPEM ratings of all Georgia EPPs are available to the public on the GaPSC PPEM Dashboard, which can be found here.
