Three students from the College of Coastal Georgia’s Cyber Defense Program, Will Garrett, Jeff Barnett and Fred Dorcoo, joined Associate Professor of Cyber Defense Dr. Nelbert St. Clair and Professor Jane Rainer at the Hacker Halted Conference held Oct. 8-9 in Atlanta.
The conference brought together cybersecurity professionals, educators, and students from across the country to discuss emerging cyber threats, industry trends, and best practices in information security. Attendees participated in educational sessions, technical presentations, and networking opportunities with industry leaders.
“Experiences like Hacker Halted allow students to connect what they learn in the classroom with real world cybersecurity challenges,” St. Clair “These opportunities help prepare our students for successful careers in the cybersecurity profession.”
Participation in events such as Hacker Halted supports CCGA’s commitment to providing students with hands-on learning experiences and professional development opportunities that complement classroom instruction.
