The College of Coastal Georgia earned its fourth consecutive semester win of the Chancellor’s Cup from the University System of Georgia. This achievement reflects the College’s continued momentum in enrollment growth and its commitment to student success.

The Chancellor’s Cup is awarded to institutions that have demonstrated the highest increase in full-time equivalent enrollment within their sector. Coastal Georgia has consistently led the state colleges sector, and this summer enrolled 1,773 students in summer courses—a 12.36 % increase compared to summer 2024, which had 1,578 students.

“This four-peat is more than a trophy—it’s a testament to the transformative work happening across our campus,” said Dr. Johnny L. Evans Jr., president of the College of Coastal Georgia. “We’re not just growing in numbers—we’re growing in impact.”

Following the Chancellor’s Cup win, the College began the 2024-25 academic year with its highest first-day numbers, showing over 3,700 students and over 800 new freshmen. Additionally, the College broke last year’s dual enrollment record, with 502 high school students taking college courses.

College of Coastal Georgia President Dr. Johnny L. Evans, Jr., receives the Chancellor’s Cup on behalf of the College at the USG’s Board of Regent’s meeting in August.

“We’re proud of these milestones and thrilled to see more students choosing Coastal Georgia,” Evans said. “However, we’re even more excited about what’s ahead. Coastal Georgia is a place where students thrive, and that’s a legacy worth building semester after semester.”

As Coastal Georgia continues to expand its reach and academic offerings, the Chancellor’s Cup serves as both recognition and motivation.
