2025 Sail Away Campaign

A brand new academic year is on the horizon, and that means one thing – game time is almost here! At Coastal Georgia Athletics, we are fired up to welcome our new coaches and student-athletes as they pursue excellence both on the field and in the classroom.

With the start of the season comes a critical need: support for our teams as they travel to compete and represent Coastal Georgia. That’s why we’ve launched the Sail Away Campaign – a bold initiative focused on providing safe transportation, proper nutrition, and quality lodging for our Mariners as they hit the road to victory.

Our goal? Raise $25,000 by October 31 to ensure our teams have what they need for successful and safe travel this season.

Did you know that nearly 35% of our athletic budget is dedicated to travel? Competing in the NAIA and the highly competitive Sun Conference means frequent travel across the region, and every mile brings a new challenge – and opportunity.

Our student-athletes are champions in every sense of the word. They’re not just athletes – they’re scholars, leaders, and global citizens. From serving our local community to representing us with pride across the country, they embody the spirit of Coastal Georgia. And our coaching staff? They’re more than coaches – they’re mentors, motivators, and role models who push our students to reach their full potential.

Your gift to the Sail Away Campaign will directly support team travel across all athletic programs, ensuring our Mariners have the resources they need to compete safely, perform at their best, and grow as students and individuals. Prefer to support a specific sport? You can also direct your gift to any of our individual Athletic Funds, supporting scholarships, leadership development, academic support, and more.

Why I Give Back

I remember how important it was as a player to have the right meals, good accommodations, and the time we needed to get where we were going. Our success on the road often came down to those basics. That’s why I give to the Sail Away Campaign – to help today’s student-athletes travel, prepare, and compete at their highest level.

My donation helps provide the resources they need to succeed while representing the College with pride. It’s about more than just one game or one season – it’s a way for me to give back and make a lasting impact on the future of CCGA Athletics.

Why I’m Passionate about Coastal Athletics

Being a Mariner student-athlete is about so much more than performance on the court, course, or field. It’s about hard work, determination, and the lifelong bonds formed with teammates and coaches. The Mariner experience shaped who I am, and I’ll always be grateful for it. Supporting today’s athletes is my way of making that experience even better for those who come next.

Graduating with my degree in Sports Medicine and finishing in the Top 10 in All-Time Rebounds for Men’s Basketball – those are moments I’ll never forget. But just as meaningful is seeing today’s athletes thrive, knowing that my support plays a part in their journey. I hope you’ll join me in contributing to their continued success.
