Center for Teaching and Learning at College of Coastal Georgia
What is the CTL?

The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is dedicated to enhancing the quality of education and supporting student success by offering resources and training to faculty, staff, and students. It offers professional development opportunities through workshops, seminars, and training sessions to help faculty improve their teaching skills and stay updated with the latest educational practices. Additionally, the CTL provides instructional support by offering resources and guidance on effective teaching strategies, curriculum development, and classroom management. It also assists in integrating technology into the classroom to enhance learning experiences and outcomes. Furthermore, the CTL encourages and supports educational research and innovative teaching methods. For students, the CTL offers ePortfolio workshops and other resources to help them succeed academically.

What are CTL Goals?

  • Create a culture of collaboration among educators, students, and staff to share best practices and support each other.
  • Encourage and support research in teaching and learning to inform evidence-based practices.
  • Provide resources and support to help students achieve their academic goals and develop essential skills.
Faculty Support

Reach out to us for information on our current programs! We support semi-monthly Spotlight Lunches, where faculty share their innovative teaching pedagogies and best practices. We also hold book groups every semester to encourage faculty and staff to stay up to date with current pedagogical trends. We are responsible for the #TYCoastal campaign.
