RN to BSN

Nursing and Health Sciences Homepage thumbnail
The RN to BSN program is designed for registered nurses who have earned an associate degree and wish to return to school for their BSN. Given the advances in healthcare, increasingly complex patients, expansion of community health, and intricate technologies, many nurses feel the need to obtain additional education.

Why study RN to BSN at Coastal Georgia?

The curriculum offers additional opportunity for practical experience while providing the graduate with the requirements and expertise necessary to enter a master’s program of study in the field of nursing. The highly affordable tuition and challenging curriculum provides additional opportunities for practical experience and personal attention, making the Coastal Georgia RN-BSN program an easy choice for working professionals.

The RN to BSN program is 100% online. It requires three in-person clinical rotations at location of choice. Students choose to complete the program in 3 or 6 semesters, including summers. Course faculty are highly-skilled in online instruction and adult learner needs.

What will I learn?

This program is designed to further registered nurses’ knowledge regarding disease processes, evidence-based practice, professionalism, ethics, informatics, community health, and leadership.

Pursuant to the College’s legal agreements, participants in clinical experiences are required to abide by the workplace rules of the clinical site. Sometimes, these rules include vaccinations requirements. As always, the SONHS will continue to make every effort to place students at clinical sites.
