Salty’s Shrimp Boil and Shanty’s on the Roof 2024:

An Environmental Sciences Fundraiser

The College celebrated the work and achievements of its Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science degree program with fundraising event, “Salty’s Shrimp Boil and Shanties on the Roof,” on Feb. 9, 2024. Faculty, staff, students, and community members gathered on the rooftop of the Campus Center to learn more about the program and to show their support for student success.

During the evening, guests listened to inspiring stories from students and learned about the vision of the program. A lowcountry boil was catered by Catch 228, along with live music performed by singer/songwriter Levi Moore. One lucky raffle winner also took home a 12-foot mounted marlin!

“We hope to continue increasing the number of Mariners that we welcome into and graduate from the Environmental Science Program each semester.”
– Dr. James Deemy, Assistant Professor of Environmental Science.
