What will I learn?
In addition to the core data science courses, the Financial Analytics concentration focuses on developing an
understanding of basic financial concepts and techniques in order to effectively analyze data in a financial
context. The courses that cover these concepts include Principles of Accounting, Intermediate Accounting,
Financial Statement Analysis, Foundations of FinTech, Financial Technologies, Commercial Banking and FinTech,
and Securities Analysis.
What can I do when I graduate?
Students will be prepared to pursue careers in the financial technology sector. With Georgia’s status as a global hub
in this sector, graduates would be prepared to start their careers at some of the top companies in the field.
