Restock the Deck Giving Tuesday Campaign
As the holiday season approaches and the spirit of giving fills the air, we find ourselves once again embracing the meaningful tradition of Giving Tuesday. The College has been an active participant in this initiative for the past few years, and we are excited to continue our commitment this year.
Giving Tuesday is an opportunity to make a difference in our community, and this year, we invite you to join us in supporting a cause that lies close to our hearts – the College’s campus pantry, known as The Deck. Established in 2019, The Deck was a response to the growing concern of food insecurity on college campuses across the nation.
Led by our dedicated Student Government Association (SGA), The Deck became one of the first food pantries established on a University System of Georgia campus. Over the years, SGA has worked tirelessly to expand the offerings provided by The Deck, collaborating with community partners to ensure the sustainability of the pantry.
At the core of our mission is student success, and The Deck plays a vital role in reaffirming this commitment. Your support in restocking The Deck will contribute to the holistic well-being of our students, especially during the most stressful time of the year – finals.
We invite you to be part of our Giving Tuesday Restock the Deck food drive. Your generosity will help alleviate stress and provide essential resources for our students. Your contribution, whether big or small, makes a significant impact. Together, we can make a positive difference in the lives of our students and foster a sense of community that extends beyond our campus.
