Welcome to the College of Coastal Georgia e-Factbook. The factbook transitioned to an online version in 2016 and is regularly updated with the latest data available. The Office of Institutional Effectiveness has improved the amount and type of data available about the College to help facilitate analysis of trends, decision-making, and reporting. Topics include data related to the College's student body, academics, student services, and personnel.


General Information
Founded in 1961, the College of Coastal Georgia is a four-year state college within the University System of Georgia, located in Brunswick, Georgia, that includes an off-campus instructional site (Camden Center) in Kingsland, Georgia. The Brunswick campus is conveniently located in the center of the Golden Isles, a growing community of more than 100,000 people. With the beaches of St. Simons Island and Jekyll Island just minutes away, Coastal Georgia provides an exceptional education in a strikingly beautiful location. Brunswick has the second-largest concentration of documented historic structures in Georgia. The nearby islands of St. Simons and Jekyll lure visitors with the promise of beaches, resorts, and historic sites - it has long been known as the "Gateway to the Golden Isles."

Academics
Coastal Georgia offers challenging academic programs that lead to 20 bachelor's degrees, three career associate degrees, and two general associate programs. Whether students are just beginning their college experience or coming back, they will find a dedicated faculty eager to assist them in realizing their academic goals.

Enrollment
Enrollment numbers are based on the Coastal Georgia official fall census date. Dashboards show the current and historical enrollment trends by attribute for different populations beginning in Fall 2009 when the institution converted to a state college within the USG. The USG Semester Enrollment Reports (SER) is based on mid-term census data from the Academic Data Collection (ADC).
