Chartwells Hospitality & Culinary Arts Scholarship

The Chartwells Hospitality & Culinary Arts Scholarship is awarded to students at the College of Coastal Georgia in recognition of high achievement and leadership skills. Scholarship award amounts may vary. This scholarship is awarded annually to outstanding students who will be attending College of Coastal Georgia to complete their degree. The award is dispersed equally at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters. Pending funding annually, a student may be eligible for up to two years of scholarship support; provided, however, that all eligibility requirements are met and a new application is submitted for each year.

Scholarship applications will be accepted and considered for initial award during fall semesters. The application deadline for a next academic year scholarship is January 1st of each year new students and March 1st of each year for returning and transfer students. Applications received after this date will be retained as alternates. Criteria include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Minimum SAT score of 1,000 (freshmen) or
  • Minimum ACT score of 21 (freshmen)
To be considered for Foundation scholarship, you must complete a Foundation Scholarship Application. Only one scholarship application is needed to apply for all of the Foundation scholarships. Foundation scholarships are awarded based on an applicant's scholarship score (a combination of grade point average and scholarship essay score) along with any other specific scholarship requirements. Preference is given to students who apply before the priority deadline.

Scholarship award notices will be provided to applicants prior to enrollment. In considering scholarship applications, the College of Coastal Georgia and the Student Support and Scholarship Committee may request additional information of applicants and may request to schedule a personal interview.
