Recently Selected for Hire Students
STEP 1 (of 3) Student employees who have interviewed and been selected for a position should complete the Student Employment Paperwork, available in Career Services (Academic Commons South) during regular business hours, noted by a star on the map below.
You must be hired by HR and complete the employment and ADP process before you may begin working.
STEP 2 (of 3) After the packet has been completed in blue or black ink, meet with Career Services. Please bring a pen. Walk-ins are welcome, though should you like to schedule an official appointment, visit Coastal CareerLink and click Schedule an Appointment; be sure to select Student Employment Paperwork as the reason for the meeting. If you are a Camden student, a Career Services member can review your packet on select Tuesdays in Camden, so appointments are required by emailing Cheryl Van Dyke, Camden Counselor at email@example.com.
STEP 3 (of 3) Following the packet review, newly selected for hire students should make an appointment with Anjee Tucker, at which time students should bring original documentation, as noted within the packet; copies of documentation are not permitted. Any notarization needed will be completed on-site. In-person meetings (by appointment only) will be in the Hargett Building, the building between ACS and Health Science noted above.
New Hires are asked to complete three trainings (additional trainings may be required, depending on department):
- Right-to-Know (may have already been completed in the pre-certification program); complete immediately
- USG Ethics Training (will be registered during meeting with HR and available from D2L/BrightSpace; complete as soon as available)
- Student Employment Onboarding, also known as SEO, within two weeks of hire; new hires will be registered during their visit with Career Services and all pre-scheduled onboarding opportunities are available from the CCGA calendar. Students may begin working prior to attending SEO.
