In an effort to ensure a collaborative planning process that engages a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, President Aloia appointed a Steering Committee – chaired by Elizabeth Weatherly, Vice President for Advancement – to help guide the development of the new strategic plan and ensure an open and consultative process. Additionally, the Steering Committee will take action on recommendations shared by the Strategic Planning Committee; coordinate communication channels for internal and external stakeholders to provide input on strategic planning issues and concerns; and ensure a strategic planning process that aligns with institutional, University System of Georgia (USG) and Complete College Georgia strategic directives.
Strategic Planning Committee
The primary goal of this broad-based, representative committee is to work collaboratively with the College community to develop and implement strategic goals, objectives and action plans. Additionally, the Strategic Planning Committee will solicit and share ideas and feedback during strategic planning development and implementation phases; develop and review strategic planning draft documents; designate members to serve on appropriate subcommittees to identify strategic priorities and institutional themes; and ensure alignment of operational and unit plans with new institutional strategic plan.
