Status Update
  • Incentivized College – local community involvement, including Symposium on Undergraduate Research Creative Expression (SOURCE); Coastal Ecology Symposium; Symposium on Service-Learning; and Gullah Geechee Symposium
  • Established a Brunswick City – CCGA Partnership to offer courses and degrees that meet the professional needs of city employees
  • Offered faculty summer fellowships – innovative projects and external grants
Strategy 6.5.1: Build awareness of educational options at the middle school and early high school level
  • Developed an interactive tour and presentation for middle school and high school groups visiting campus
  • Worked closely with local school systems to increase parents and students understanding of MOWR opportunities
  • Established Math tutoring program and made it available to all local high school and middle school students
  • Maintaining ongoing partnership with Pinova providing support for both the Expanding your Horizons and the Math and Science expo
  • Developing/implementing an articulation of the new Bachelor of Applied Science
  • Developing/implementing an articulation agreement for the Bachelor of Criminal Justice
Strategy 6.5.2: Continue to work with both USG and TCSG institutions to provide access and completion opportunities for students within the region
