Kids in CollegeKids in College is a longstanding tradition at the College of Coastal Georgia. Originally designed as a summer enrichment program for elementary aged children, Kids in College is now a traditional day camp for elementary and middle school students designed to present relevant academic subject matter in a fun, engaging and exciting way.
This year, the College will be offering STEM, Fine Arts, Leadership and Sports weeks in June and July. Each of the six weeks will provide a unique experience for campers; we will not duplicate activities in in any subject area. STEM, Fine Arts and Sports camps will serve students ages 8-10 and 11-13. There will be 30 total spaces per session. The Leadership camp will be limited to 20 campers, ages 10-13. The camp weeks will run from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Drop-off begins at 8 a.m. and a late pick-up option (4:30-5:30 p.m.) is available.

The Leadership camp will enhance a pupil’s ability to lead and work in a group environment. It’s perfect for young minds interested in government, business, law enforcement, and public affairs We’ll use a variety of activities including tours of local governmental offices/facilities, guest speakers, athletics and our on-campus low ropes course to hone the skills and concepts of team building, commitment, hard work, dedication and social responsibility. The camp is slightly more physical in nature than the other sessions, so campers in this session must be 10-13 years old and submit a current physical with registration.
Sports camp, which will teach the basic skills and abilities associated with athletics. Sports to be covered include football, soccer, basketball, baseball/softball, volleyball and physical fitness. Camp will be administered by former collegiate athletes and current youth coaches. It is open to campers ages 8-13; a current physical is also required for this camp.
Morning classroom instruction sessions will be followed by early afternoon field experiences which will include both on and off campus excursions. Late afternoon activities will be held in on-campus facilities. Classroom sessions and excursions will be under the instruction of certified educators. Other staff on site will be students or administrators employed by the College.
Along with a bagged lunch, student participants are encouraged to bring water, snacks, and sunscreen and to wear appropriate clothing (closed toed shoes) as there will be outside activities every day. An afternoon snack is provided by the camp daily.
Registration and FeesThe available student spaces for each session will be filled via online registration on a first- come first-serve basis. Once a camper and his/her guardian complete the online registration for any camp they will receive a confirmation email and be expected to submit payment and additional forms that are attached below.
Early Registration Fee: $155 per camper, per week registration and initial payment must be submitted by May 4, 2018.
Standard Registration Fee: $170 per camper, per week - registration and initial payment submitted after May 4,2018.
CCGA Discount- 10%- Any camper whose legal guardian is a current College of Coastal Georgia Faculty or Staff member will receive a 10% discount off the total camp fees. Enrollment/employment will be verified. Discounts cannot be combined.
Late Afternoon Pick-up Option: $50 per camper, per week - pick-up between 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.
*Note: Camp holds the right to assess a $10 daily fee if a camper who is not registered for the service is picked up late.
Kids in College- Camden Camp
Join us for the Kids in College at the Camden Center this summer in Kingsland, GA! Camp will be one week long and will allow students to experience activities in culinary, STEM, and Art.
Sessions & Times
Session 1 will be held June 11th-June 15th, 2018
Session 2 will be held June 18th- June 22nd, 2018
The available student spaces for each session will be filled via on-site registration at the Camden Center on May 16, 2018 on a first-come, first served basis. Registration will begin at 7:30am and will continue until all slots are filled or 7:30pm. Parents/guardians will be expected to fill out a registration packet (see important forms below) and submit payment at the time of registration. Forms can be printed and filled out ahead of time or they will be available on site.

Time & Cost
Camp hours will be 9:00am- 4:00pm with drop-off beginning at 8:30am. Pick up at end of day begins at 4:00pm.
Cost for each camp attendee is $100/week.
Late pick up options: Students that need late pick-up will go to After Care and must be picked up by 5:00pm. The cost for after care will be $10 per day, per camper attendee.
Parents/Guardians are also asked to attend one of the following orientation sessions on Friday, June 8th: 10:00am, Noon, 2:00pm, 4:00pm, or 6:00pm.
