Our program in Hospitality Management is designed to give students the needed tools to succeed in all areas of Hospitality Management. Students can augment this training by obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Hospitality, Resort, and Tourism. By taking additional coursework, students are able to obtain both a career associates in Hospitality Management and a BBA.

Each year students visit several of our area’s outstanding facilities where they interact with the owners, managers, and employees. It is an excellent opportunity to network and has led to numerous internships. These visits have been to Sea Island, The King & Prince Beach Resort, Halyard’s and Tramici’s restaurants, the Jekyll Island Westin, and The Jekyll Island Club Hotel.

As with the BBA program, students are required to complete an internship during their Junior or Senior year. Opportunities for internships in this area are plentiful and it is rare that a student cannot locate one in their preferred setting. Internships provide the opportunity to practice the principles and theories they have studied in the classroom in a “real world” setting. They are also an excellent networking opportunity and have led to numerous full-time jobs after completion of the paid internship. Intern hosts have included Sea island, King & Prince Beach Resort, Jekyll Island Club Hotel, Jekyll Island Westin, Sanctuary Cove Golf Club, Bennie’s Red Barn, Fairfield Inn, Country Inn and Suites, Jekyll Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn, Shane’s, Embassy Suites, and Brunswick Best Western. The number of hosts grows each year as they experience the high caliber of students who are in the Hospitality program.
