4th Annual Mariners Classic

The College of Coastal Georgia is hosting its 4th Annual Mariners Classic on Tuesday, May 9, at the Frederica Golf Club.

The cost will be TBD per golfer, which includes 18 holes of golf, cart fee, lunch, and reception. The format will be a four-person scramble. Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m.

The purpose of the Mariners Classic is to support the continued successes of the student-athletes at the College of Coastal Georgia. The proceeds will support Coastal Georgia student athletes' travel, equipment, and scholarships.

The Mariners Men's Golf Team ranked 17th in the NAIA Final 2022 Bushnell Golfweek Poll. This season, the Mariners have two returning NAIA and PING All-Americans (George Langham and Marcus Reynolds) and finished in the Top 5 of all of their Fall events. The Men's Golf Team has won 44 events, including two National Championships in its 12 seasons of existence. They total 24 NAIA All-Americans, 22 PING All-Americans, and have made eight National Tournament appearances.

The Mariners Women's Golf Team finished Top 10 in three of their four events this fall against NAIA, D2, and D1 teams. They rank 27th on the NAIA GolfStat poll heading into the spring season. The Mariners return sophomore Emmily Bickelmann and junior Kristen Crooms, who were both named First Team All-Sun Conference in 2022. The Women's Golf Team has won 17 events in their 12 seasons in the NAIA. They have also had 14 All-Conference selections and five NAIA All-Americans. The Mariners have made six NAIA National Tournament appearances.
