Basic EMT Certification

The Basic EMT Certification course is offered on as "as needed" basis based on interest.

Students working to obtain their Basic EMT Certification will learn medical terminology, how to assess patients, and many different hands-on, life-saving skills.

Who can take the Basic EMT class?

Anyone can take the Basic EMT course. Just make sure you have already been accepted to the College first. You can apply here.

This course will be offered again in Spring 2023.

What will I learn?

Students working to obtain their Basic EMT Certification will learn basic anatomy and physiology relevant to serving as an emergency medical technician, with an emphasis on the nervous system, cardiovascular, and respiratory systems.

Once students have completed the one-semester course, they should be prepared to take their exam and enter the workforce.
