College of Coastal Georgia students host gaming competitions, anime screenings

Chris Smith wrangled up a rowdy group of his fellow College of Coastal Georgia students to play video games in a way they never had before, this time on a movie screen, and prizes came with the deal. During the third annual International Game Day at the college, college students came together to play one another in the video game tournament thanks to the the Anime and Video Game clubs.

Robert "Gabe" Gabriel '17 is a coach at heart. As he works towards his B.S. in mathematics for secondary education, he also works as Student Recreation Specialist-Club Sports and Intramurals in Student Activities on campus and coaches soccer for Golden Isles United on Jekyll Island, a club team for boys ages 10 and 11 from across southeast Georgia.

In 1964, Brunswick College opened its doors for business. In 1966, Kennesaw Junior College in Cobb County did the same. Brunswick College, which changed its name to Brunswick Junior College the next year, had an initial enrollment of 266. Kennesaw had just over 1,400 students.

Ryan Hurlock graduated with a B.B.A. and the distinction of being the 2014-2015 Outstanding Business Student. The Woodbine native, completed his freshman and sophomore coursework at the College's Camden Center in Kingsland but most of his upper-level classes have been at the Brunswick campus.
