In some cases, an additional essay or oral exam is required. You will know your result upon completion. Students are awarded credit (CR) as opposed to a letter grade (A-D).

CLEP exams are given the first and third Tuesday of the month at 9:00a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
If you have ever taken a class in the subject you are wanting to CLEP, even if you dropped the class, you are not allowed to take the exam. If you fail the exam you are required to wait 6 months before you can retest. If a candidate retakes the examination before this period the administration is considered invalid, the score is cancelled, and exam fees are forfeited.
CLEP may waive this policy for exams re-taken after a three-month period upon special written request.
COMPASS
The COMPASS Placement Exam – gathers information about students' educational needs and plans and measures their skills in the areas of reading, writing, and mathematics.
