College of Coastal Georgia Cost of Attendance

College of Coastal Georgia is committed to providing students and families with the resources and information they need to understand the cost of attendance and determine the best housing options for the academic year.

Tuition and Fees

The College of Coastal Georgia is one of the most affordable institutions on the southeast coast. Beginning with the 2016-2017 academic year, College of Coastal Georgia offers waivers to all residents of Alabama, Florida, and South Carolina who meet the requirements for admission. Theborder waiver reduces tuition cost to the in-state rate. CCGA also offers presidential waivers to students who have demonstrated academic success in high school and have academic credentials (Grade Point Average and SAT or ACT scores) that are comparable to the top 25 percent of our previous fall incoming class might qualify for a presidential out-of-state waiver.

The tuition rate for the 2016-2017 academic year for in-state students is $102.13 per credit hour. The non-resident tuition rate is $377.40 per credit hour.

Mandatory fees are prorated based on enrollment status. Fees are approximately $685 per semester for students enrolled full-time. ($1,370 per year).

The average full-time (12 credit hours or more) student enrolls in 13 credit hours. The average part-time (6-11 credit hours or more) student enrolls in 7 credit hours. 64% of CCGA students are enrolled full-time.


Book Costs

We know the cost of books can be expensive. At the College of Coastal Georgia we utilize a number of resources such as a book rental program and digital books to help alleviate that cost to students. We have a package of interactive applications and materials that use a variety of technological resources such as a smartphone, laptop or tablet computer to allow students the ability to read chapters, watch animated illustrations, take quizzes and communicate with their professors.

Books and supplies can range from $300 to $1,200.


Housing Options

College of Coastal Georgia provides on-campus housing options in on-campus housing in Lakeside Village and Mariners Village. All freshmen are required to live on campus for their first year. Students who live within the immediate five counties (Glynn, Camden, Wayne, Brantley, and McIntosh) are highly encouraged to live on campus, but have the option to exempt from the first-year requirement. Please review the housing types that will complete your cost of attendance.

Undergraduate Residential Students (On Campus)

On-campus housing is available in both Lakeside Village and Mariners Village. Students have the option to choose from one of four meal plans.

Housing costs range from approximately $2,500 to $2,800 per semester. Meal plans options range from $1,725 to $1,850 for residential students.

Undergraduate Students (Off Campus)

The Office of Student Affairs has worked within local community to identify off-campus opportunities for students. Off-campus apartment style housing is available in Brunswick, Saint Simons Island, and other surrounding areas in the Golden Isles. Off-campus housing costs run between $2,000 and $4,000 per semester depending on location and living preferences.

Undergraduate Students (Living With Parents or family)

Students may choose to live with parents or family and commute to campus. CCGA has used the Consumer Price Index and College Board to estimate off campus housing and commuting cost.

Off-campus housing and commuting costs vary among location and commute costs run approximately $1,050 per semester.
