BRUNSWICK | The most important math problem at College of Coastal Georgia may have been one of simple addition that sent the nation into 14 years of war.
During College of Coastal Georgia’s annual 9/11 observance Friday, a big poster stood behind rows of small American flags pushed into the lawn at the Campus Center. The poster listed 2,562 civilians, 343 firefighters and 72 members of law enforcements who died in the Sept. 11, 2011, terrorists attacks on the World Trade Center in New York. Beneath those numbers was the total 2,977 and above them the words “Never forget.”
