Damage Charge Appeal Process

Please click here to submit the damage appeal form.

The appeal will be reviewed by a Residence Hall Director who did not place the original damage charge. This review will be reviewed in a timely manner. Additional information may be required of some residents. Residents will be notified of decisions regarding requests for damage appeals in a timely manner.

Damage Charge appeals must be submitted within 30 days after initial notification to the student.

Individual residents may appeal, via email, the outcome of the damage charge appeal from the Residence Hall Director to the Director of Residence Life and Housing or his/her designee.

Appeals to the Director of Residence Life and Housing or his/her designee must be emailed to the Office of Residence Life and Housing (Residence.Life@ccga.edu) no later than ten working days after notice has been sent that a request for exemption has been denied.

Appeals will be reviewed in a timely manner at the Office of Residence Life and Housing.

The Director of Residence Life and Housing or his/her designee may consult with other units of the College, including, but not limited to, the Disability Resource Center, and the Office of Financial Aid when appropriate.

The decision of the Director of Residence Life and Housing or his/her designee will be communicated within a reasonable time from the date that the appeal is reviewed.

The decision of the Director of Residence Life and Housing or his/her designee will be final.
