Center for Academic Advising
In keeping with the institution’s mission to foster academic excellence and individual development in a supportive environment, the College of Coastal Georgia recognizes academic advising as a critical component of the educational experience and is committed to providing quality advisement. We strive to empower our students to develop and implement sound academic plans that are consistent with their personal values, educational goals, and career plans. Our goal is academic progress and achievement that leads to degree completion.
Effective academic advising is the foundation of CCGA’s academic program. The Center for Academic Advising stands ready to assist students who are undeclared majors, transient students, and joint enrolled high school students through the Move On When Ready (MOWR) program. In addition, the center provides assistance and guidance to students needing to declare a major, change a major, find an advisor or just have general questions concerning their path to a successful graduation.
