Wireless Configuration for Windows XP SP 3

  1. Click the Start button, select Connect To, and then Wireless Connection. The Connect to Wireless Network dialog box is displayed.
  2. Click Change advanced settings at the bottom left.
  3. The Wireless Network Connection Properties dialog box is displayed. Select the Wireless Networks tab.
    Under Preferred Networks click Add.
  4. The Wireless Network Properties dialog is displayed.
    On the Association tab enter WAVE (in uppercase) for Network Name (SSID).
    For Network Authentication select WPA2.
    For Data encryption select AES.
  5. Select the Authentication tab.
    For EAP type select Protected EAP (PEAP) and then click the Properties button.
  6. On the Protected EAP Properties dialog check Validate server certificate and Connect to these servers:.
    Enter ccgadns2.ccga.edu in the textbox.
    At the bottom of the dialog select Secured password (EAP-MSCHAP V2) for the Authentication Method.
  7. Click the Configure... button and the EAP MSCAHPv2 Properties dialog will be shown.
    Uncheck Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if any).
  8. Click OK.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Click OK.
  12. You should see a notification in the system tray after a few seconds telling you that your wireless network card is trying to connect to the network. If you are not prompted for your username and password, click the ballon just above the system tray to receive your login dialog.
  13. Enter your Student Id, password (the same as your email username and password) and College of Coastal Georgia. Click the OK button.
  14. Open your browser. You should be on the wireless network.
