Minimum Equipment and Software

Please note:

Browser and Java versions specified are tested to be the most reliable for a given operating system.

For your operating system, please only use these browsers/Java version combinations when accessing BlackBoard.



To check your system for minimum requirements to run BlackBoard, please run the Check Browser.

Platform:
PC (Windows 7/XP/Vista: Vista not recommended)
Mac (10.5+/10.6+)
Hardware:
128 MB of RAM
2 GB of free disk space
Sound card with speakers (for courses with multimedia)
Ethernet or Wireless network card (for high-speed Internet connection) or 56K modem (for dial-up Internet connection)
T1, DSL, Cable, or Satellite high-speed connection (56K dial-up will work, but the online course system will run slowly)
