Bachelor of Science with a Major in Psychology

The Bachelor of Science with a Major in Psychology is designed for students who want to make a difference in the lives of others.

Psychology is the scientific study of behavior and mental processes. Contemporary psychology is an interdisciplinary field with many pathways to careers. Many of these careers involve service to improve the well-being of individuals and the social health of communities. If you are service-minded and interested in improving lives and communities, then the psychology program at Coastal Georgia is right for you.

The BS in Psychology program will provide students with a rigorous program of study in the science of psychology, including the theory, research, and quantitative methods of both basic and applied psychology. Community and Organizational Leadership is an applied field, based in organizational and community psychology and business.

Program Admission Requirements

1.Completion of 45 semester hours with an overall GPA of 2.5 or better
2.Completion of Psychology area F course with a grade C or better
3.Successful completion of the Regents' test
4.Completion of all legislatively mandated requirements
(U.S. and Georgia History and Constitution requirements)
