Here at the College of Coastal Georgia, we have a multitude of student resources available. In your contact with students, you may talk with some who are going through difficulties and need help that you are not able to provide. Below is a partial list of services available at no charge to CCGA students. Please become acquainted with the options available - you might be a real help to a student in need someday.

Counseling Services

A licensed counselor is available for personal counseling at no cost to CCGA students enrolled in 4 or more credit hours of study. Counseling may assist students to develop personal awareness and coping skills to manage life challenges that are interfering with their ability to be successful. Personal counseling may cover a wide range of issues and may be brief or longer term in length. Typical counseling goals may include: controlling test anxiety, coping with depression, or managing relationship difficulties.
Appointments are encouraged, but not necessary. To make an appointment, contact Ms. Jean Fleming, Director of Counseling and Student Support , email her at jfleming@ccga.edu.
Student Activity Center

Student Activity Center: Student Life provides many services and performs many functions on the College of Coastal Georgia campus for students. Activities range from cultural events such as theater, musicals, and art and lecture programs to social events such as dances, entertainers, and cookouts. Students are encouraged to be a part of the many and varied clubs and organizations on campus. For more information contact Dave Leenhouts

Office for Students with Disabilities Andrews Student Affairs Building Phone: 912-279-5803 Student Disability Services College of Coastal Georgia is committed to assisting students with various learning, physical, and/or medical disabilities. Services currently available include counseling and serving as liaisons for students to faculty and staff. Counseling is provided at no charge through the Counseling Center and is available to all students with disabilities. To be eligible for services, students must self-disclose by filling out a ―Voluntary Disclosure‖ form (available in the Registrar’s Office, the Office of Student Affairs, and the Camden Center) and must provide documentation of their disabilities. Students requesting accommodations for a learning disability or ADHD must provide documentation that meets criteria established by the Board of Regents. These criteria can be obtained in the Office of Student Affairs.
