Tutor Certification Training
Course Goals
The purpose of the course is to enhance the tutoring skills of the College of Coastal Georgia Academic Tutoring and Instruction Center tutors to achieve and maintain level three master tutor certification in accordance with the standards set forth by The College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA). Our Tutoring program is internationally certified by CRLA. Certification indicates that the ATTIC meets internationally accepted standards for tutor selection, tutor training, and tutor evaluation, as well as for overall program management and evaluation. This course is aimed at those who work at the ATTIC in any capacity. The course builds on the experiences of the tutors and integrates their rich practical knowledge into an educational framework that supports diversity and creativity in the college-learning environment.
