College to Host Candidates Forum

Brunswick, GA – The College of Coastal Georgia is hosting a series of community candidate forums in the coming four weeks to provide the public an opportunity to ask questions and compare candidates’ positions on issues of local interest. Each candidate will have the opportunity to present a one-minute opening statement, answer audience questions, and provide a 90-second closing statement. Tony Wege, Professor of Political Science, will moderate the discussion. Candidates from the Republican and Democratic political parties have been invited to participate.

The two-hour programs will begin at 7 p.m. on June 20, 27, 28 and July 10. All programs will be held in Room 112 of the Miriam and Hugh Nunnally Health and Science Building on campus. Professor Wege stressed that the forum is not a debate between candidates, but an opportunity for candidates to answer questions posed by the audience members.

Wednesday, June 27 – Glynn County School System Board of Education Candidates

Thursday, June 28 – Judicial Candidates and Candidates for Glynn County Sheriff
