College Foundation Trustees Elect New Officers
Brunswick, GA – The College of Coastal Georgia Foundation elected new officers for 2013-2014 during their annual meeting today. Alumnus Michael D. Hodges ’73 was elected chair, Jack Kilgore was elected vice chair and Susan Shipman was elected treasurer. Pat Hodnett Cooper was re-elected secretary. Their one-year term commences July 1, 2013. Rees Sumerford will continue to serve on the Executive Committee as immediate past chair.
Hodges, who is president of Ameris Bank, said his main objective for the coming year will be to assist and support Dr. Gregory F. Aloia, the new president of the College, in his leadership transition while maintaining the momentum of progress established by the outgoing president, Dr. Valerie A. Hepburn, and the Foundation during the previous five years.
The mission of the Foundation is to develop resources to support the College in providing quality education. The Foundation also serves as an advocate within the community to further the goals of the College.
