College Sponsors Financial Aid Workshop
Brunswick, GA – College-bound students – new or returning – going to school anywhere in the United States are invited to a workshop on completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on Thursday, February 21, from 6-8 p.m. The free workshop for students and their families will be held in Rooms 208 and 209 of Academic Commons South on the College of Coastal Georgia campus in Brunswick. FAFSA is the universal application used for government loans, grants, and work-study programs to help pay for college. The FAFSA must be completed and filed every year for students to remain qualified. Many scholarships also require an FAFSA as part of the scholarship application process. The workshop is free and open to the general public – not just Coastal Georgia applicants and students – but reservations are required by Monday, February 18, for the workshop due to limited space. Documentation required for the workshop to successfully complete the FAFSA includes:
