College Welcomes Assistant Professor of Public Affairs
Brunswick, GA – Dr. Mary Eleanor Wickersham has joined the faculty of the College of Coastal Georgia as full-time Assistant Professor of Public Affairs with the spring 2013 term.
Prior to January, Dr. Wickersham served as an adjunct professor in public affairs at Coastal Georgia for the fall 2012 term. Between 2010-2012, she was Assistant Professor in the Public Administration Program of the Department of Political Science at Valdosta State University and she served as Health and Human Services Policy Advisor (2008-2010) to former Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue. Her range of professional experiences include nine years (1982-1991) as a weekly newspaper editor in Georgia, entrepreneurial and corporate business ventures in health care, and teaching high school science and college geology and political science courses.
Dr. Wickersham earned her DPA from Valdosta State University after receiving her MA in Public Affairs, with concentrations in ethics and public policy, from Georgia College and State University and her BA in Geology from Emory University.
