Culinary Arts Offers Popular Dining Series at Camden

Kingsland, GA - Treat yourself to exceptional dinners as the Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts students of the College of Coastal Georgia open the dining room doors of the Camden Center to showcase their talent.

Beginning in February, students and instructors will offer a series of four evenings of fine dining.  Chef Steven Ingersoll, Assistant Professor of Culinary Arts and a graduate of the New England Culinary Institute, personally works with the students to design the menus which the students then prepare and serve in the classic fine dining tradition.

The prix fixe menus feature fresh, seasonal ingredients and unique touches to familiar favorites, all prepared to the highest standards. Examples include:

  • Pork potstickers with zesty slaw and Hoisin dipping sauce
  • Artichoke hearts lightly breaded in parmesan and cornmeal, then flash fried
  • Hearty cheddar and ale soup served with crisp onion baguette croutons
  • Crab-stuffed grouper with lemon butter sauce
  • Sirloin steak paired with a savory seafood crêpe
  • Desserts such as crème brûlée, tiramisu, and warm apple crisp
The Thursday night dinners will be offered February 7, March 7 and 28, and April 11. A special Valentine’s Day dinner will also be offered Thursday evening, February14. Seatings begin at 7 p.m. in the dining room of the Camden Center, 8001 Lakes Boulevard, Kingsland.

Dinners are available in a series of two - February 7 and March 28 or March 7 and April 11 - for $70/person. The romantic Valentine dinner is $40/person. For full details and to secure reservations, call the office of the Hospitality Management Department in Camden, 912.510.3330, beginning January 14, 2013, between 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. Seating is limited, so advance purchase is required.
